The Young Amakhosi started dominant in the game, making some good move but initially struggled to break down the Leeds defence.
But after 29 minutes, Sheppard’s boys found a breakthrough, after a fine combination that saw Manqoba Ozoemena connect with Phago to find Gopolang Taunyana, who provided a beautiful assist to captain Thulani Mabaso.
Chiefs were now in full control of the match, squandering two good chances to extend their lead after 40 minutes, with the home side entering the break just one goal down.
However, Leeds found the equaliser after 53 minutes from the penalty spot after Harry Gray stepped up to convert.
However, towards the latter part of the game Chiefs started to make a few avoidable mistakes which saw them lose grasp of the match.
After Chiefs impressed in the first half, Leeds was dominant in the second stanza, but neither side managed to add to the score-line.
