Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge star Thulani Mabasa explained how he uses showboating in a positive way.
Mabasa is known for his showboating since his arrival in Chiefs DDC side. The 22-year-old was invited to train with the first team towards the end of last season and started this current campaign with them, traveling with them to Turkey for pre-season.

Due to limited opportunities in the senior side, Mabaso has rejoined Chiefs DDC and continued where he left off. He has been named in the Amakhosi DDC squad that will travel to the UK for nine day to play against Manchester United, Leeds United and QPR.
Ahead of the trip, Mabaso explained how he used showboating to his advantage.
“Let me say, thank you for the opportunity from the man above (God) and thank you to the club for the giving me the opportunity to play and show my talent,” Mabaso told the media.
“It’s about the issue of ‘kasi football’ that it won’t take you no where, it’s how you do it [showboat] and if you’re doing it to create the space then it’s a good thing.
“It’s a positive thing because you’re creating space and the next pass you do is positive then the team can win from it.
“Sometimes it can benefit the team.”
