DDC Golden Boot Race Heat Up

The DStv Diski Challenge golden boot race is heating up with Richards Bay forward Ntlonelo Bomelo leading the way with 14 goals.

Ntlonelo has proved to be the one carrying the Natal Richboyz on his shoulders as he has scored half of the goals the entire team has scored this campaign. Bay is currently sitting on 10th place despite having a striker that is leading the golden boot race.

Kaizer Chiefs sensational Neo Bohloko has been in immense form lately which saw him scoring in eight successive games before he was stopped by SuperSport United in a 1-0 defeat. The 15-year-old is currently sitting on 12 goals, just two goals behind Ntlonelo.

Orlando Pirates striker Mohau Nkota also reached double figures this past weekend when he scored a brace in a 5-3 win over Richards Bay. The 19-year-old is sitting third on the golden boot race with 10 goals.

Recently promoted to the SuperSport United first team, Thabang Mahlangu has scored nine goals for the DDC defending champions. The young Mahlangu was given his first team debut by coach Gavin Hunt in a 1-1 draw against Cape Town City on Tuesday night.
