Mamelodi Sundowns scored late to narrowly beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 while Kaizer Chiefs rallied back to hold Siwelele FC 1-1 in Saturday’s DStv Diski Challenge ties.
Sundowns came into the game six points behind league leaders Orlando Pirates. Anything less than a win would put their title hopes into bed.

The first half ended in a goalless draw against Stellies, but late in the second half, Sundowns managed to secure a winner which cut the gap to three points between them and Pirates with a game in hand.
Chiefs, who are out of the title race hosted third-placed Siwelele. Siwelele took the lead in the 52nd minute through Sphesihle Jeza with Kabelo Selowa laying an assist.
Amakhosi responded with a goal in the second period which secured a draw for them and put Siwelele title hopes in doubt.
Despite dropping points, the Glamour Boys stretch their unbeaten run to seven matches, having come from behind in three of those matches to either walk away with maximum points or secure a point.
