Nkota & Ndaba Keeps Bucs On Top

The top three in the DStv Diski Challenge remained the same after Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC collected maximum points, while Kaizer Chiefs broke into the top four after Sekhukhune United dropped points.

Table toppers Pirates collected maximum points away from home hammering Royal AM by 5-3. Mohau Nkota was too hot to handle for Thwihli Thwahla defense netting a brace as did Mpumelelo Ndaba while teenager Aphelele Nzimande was also on the scoresheet in the victory for the Buccaneers.

Defending champions SuperSport United easily beaten Chippa United by 4-1 and moved to seventh place in the standings.

Stellies returned to the winning ways beating Polokwane City by 3-1. This is City’s 16th loss of the season. The Cape Winelands side remains third in the standings with 39 points, just two points behind Pirates and Sundowns.

Amakhosi kept their title hopes alive on Sunday handing Richards Bay their third loss on the throat. Chiefs finally breaks into the top four after Babina Noko dropped points against Cape Town City in Cape Town. The young Ephefeni Glamour boys are seven points behind number one.

Sundowns wrapped up the day with a comfortable 3-0 win over AmaZulu away from home. Despite the win goals were so important in this especially that Downs is chasing Pirates who has scored 40 goals this season.
