Pirates Back On Top In Diski

After the weekend’s results, Orlando Pirates moved back on top of the DStv Diski Challenge table, while Mamelodi Sundowns moved into second place, with goal difference the separator.

Pirates beat Golden Arrows 1-0 on Saturday, and while Stellenbosch had an opportunity to go back top on Sunday, they suffered a 2-1 loss to SuperSport United.

Sundowns moved above Stellies as they thrashed bottom-of-the-table Polokwane City 5-0 on Sunday. However their goal difference of +14 is somewhat behind Pirates’ +25.

4th-placed Kaizer Chiefs and 5th-placed Sekhukhune United drew their games against Royal AM and TS Galaxy respectively, but there was a victory for Cape Town City, who are sixth, with the young Citizens grabbing a late winner against Richards Bay.
