DStv Diski Challenge leaders Orlando Pirates dropped points against TS Galaxy, while Orbit College hammered reigning champions Kaizer Chiefs 4-1.
It was a Sunday to forget for both Soweto giants after Galaxy ended Pirates’ six-match winning streak. The Rockets played a goalless draw against Chiefs last weekend, and also held high-flying Buccaneers this week in a 1-1 stalemate.
The Galaxy points sees Mamelodi Sundowns cut the gap to five points as they beat Sekhukhune United 2-0 yesterday. With 12 games still to be played, a lot can still happen in the title race.
Amakhosi missed an opportunity to close the gap between them and Pirates. They remain 16 points off Bucs with 13 games outstanding.
