Cape Town City thumped Magesi FC 8-2 while defending champions Stellenbosch FC got back into the title race with a morale boosting 3-1 win over Sekhukhune United.
It was the Jody Ah Shene show as the youngster converted his national team form into the club after grabbing a hat-trick in their huge margin win over Dikwena Tsa Meetse at Malta Sports Ground.

Dhakier Lee, Heaven Sereetsi, Uname Rode and Nande Wetbooi also recorded their names on the scoresheet while the other came from an on goal as City also ended their three-match winless run. Despite their huge win, they are mathematically out of the title race as they sit in eighth spot, 20 points behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
The other Western Cape outfit, Stellies, also did themselves a huge favour as they look to take the DDC league title down to the wire this season after beating Babina Noko to close the gap between them and Chiefs to one point.
Sekhukhune opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but Stellies equalized in the 26th minute before the Cape Winelands side took the lead for the first time in this game after an own goal. The defending champions then sealed the three points after scoring in the 75th minute.
