Sekhukhune United have roped in former Orlando Pirates defender Lizo Mjempu as their DStv Diski Challenge head coach.
Mjempu played for the Buccaneers between 2011 and 2012 from the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town, winning the Betway Premiership and MTN8 titles.
The 40-year-old former Moroka Swallows left-back has been coaching in the ABC Motsepe League for some time since he retired from football where he coached teams like Bayern FC and Passion FC.
This publication has gathered information that Mjempu has been brought in by Babina Noko to lead their DDC team for this coming season after Mandla Qhogi stepped down.
He has started the preparations for the new term as Sekhukhune will begin their campaign against Cape Town City at Malta Park in Cape Town.
