Head coach Evangelos Vellios was left amazed by the performance of the Young Maroons, stating that they will remain humble.
“It is a story of dreams, it is a stuff of dreams, it is really special for us,” Vellios told iDiski Times.
“I’m very honored to be here, we were humbled. The boys were superb 1-0, 1-0, 1-0 we haven’t conceded a goal, and this specific game especially the second half the best football we’ve played.
“So I trust we’ve grown into the tournament, super excited to play in the final, different stadium, a different environment where there will be fans. I’m super excited.”
The two-time DDC champions will face Tottenham Hotspur in the final of 2024 NEXT Gen tournament later today. It will be the second time these two sides are battling against each other in the tournament after Stellies beat Spurs 1-0 in the opening game.
