Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker says his team is motivated to finish the season in second place to play in the CAF Champions League.
They are currently in second place, one point ahead of Orlando Pirates, on the DStv Premiership table, with three fixtures remaining, including a game against log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Barker says that playing in the competition would be a great incentive for the players at the club to showcase their abilities.
“We’ve seen teams from our own country win competitions like the Champions League in the past so there is a massive incentive for our players to want to showcase their talents and ability on that stage,” Barker said
“The desire and motivation is there so it’s just a case of looking at it as three more games in which we need to apply ourselves.”
