City Release Statement Over Fans Attendance

Cape Town City have confirmed no fans will be allowed in their stand section against Swallows at the DHL Stadium this weekend.

It had been predicted that the current Formula E event would have certain ramifications for their scheduled DStv Premiership fixture due to the sheer volume of supporters that would be in the City Bowl this weekend.

City have now confirmed that they will only be allowed to have fans at one entrance and seated within the Business Lounges against the Dube Birds.

|Due to the Formula E event build-up, Cape Town City Football Club will not be permitted to host our fans in the stand section for our game this Sunday 19th February against Swallows FC at DHL Stadium,” the club statement read.

“Cape Town City will only be permitted to utilise the Business Lounge Section on Level 04 at a limited capacity. Entrance to the stadium will only be via Fort Wynyard and this will be the only access point to the stadium with a vehicle.

“Season Ticket Holders can enter the Business Lounge at no cost. We are doing everything we can to make sure the game goes ahead in compliance with Disaster Risk Management and the City of Cape Town to ensure your safety and security. VIP Tickets.”

The Citizens are scheduled to face the Soweto-based outfit on Sunday afternoon (17h30).
