CT Spurs & Sundowns Starting XIs Announced

Cape Town Spurs and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for the DStv Premiership clash at Athlone Stadium in evening.

Desperate Spurs aim to bounce back to winning ways this evening when they face defending DStv Premiership champions Sundowns.

The Urban Warriors are entering the game after back-to-back defeats against Chippa United and Moroka Swallows.

Their hopes to survive relegation remain in tact, despite being five points behind Richards Bay who seemed to be picking up a win at the right time.

Sundowns will play match number four in 11 days after their two CAF Champions League matches against Young Africans SC as well as last week’s win over Bay.

Masandawana made headlines this past weekend after reaching CAF Champions League semi-finals and could extend their lead over second-placed Stellenbosch FC tonight.

Rulani Mokwena’s men currently hold a 10-point advantage over Stellies, which they could extend to 13 points with still two games in hand.

These two sides will face each other for the second time since Spurs changed their name from Ajax Cape Town. Downs won the first match by 3-0 at Loftus stadium.

Here is how they line up:

CT Spurs XI: Boshoff, Moroole, Velebayi, Dortley, Cupido, Butsaka, Bern, Mkwali, Baartman, Kamagi, Gumede

Subs: Dlamini, Ralani, Buchanan, Morton, Radiopane, Moosa, Farmer, Maduna, Maphathe

Sundowns XI: Williams, Mudau, Kekana, Mvala, Mashego, Mokoena, Mkhulise, Maema, Zwane, Ribeiro, Shalulile
