Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo has suggested that he has it on good authority that Amakhosi’s technical team around Nasreddine Nabi are keen on loaning out six players.
Nabi and his technical team are taking the team through their paces in Turkiye, where they have played in three friendly matches, winning the latest 5-2 against Qatari Stars League side Al Shahaniya SC.
While Chiefs are yet to officially unveil their signings, Bongani Sam traveled with the squad to Turkiye but picked up an injury and returned alongside Edmilson Dove, Fiacre Ntwari didn’t get a visa to travel and Rushwin Dortley’s move to Naturena was announced by Cape Town Spurs.
Chiefs are still understood to be in the market for a striker and left-back and with more new blood certain to come in, Khumalo has confirmed on SoccerZone that he heard the technical have submitted six names for loans.
“The information that I got the new technical team, they really want to work with youth,” he said on Monday.
“And also, I’ve seen the names of the players that they’ve ask them [management] to loan them, six of them – the players it’s not my duty to mention them here – but six of the players the coach asked if they can loan them out.
“Two of them are nursing injuries at the moment. They didn’t travel to Turkey, because they’re injured.
“What I know is that, Kaizer Chiefs’ move to secure these coaches, I can see a lot of difference. I can tell, these boys, now they are being challenged.”
Last week, Chiefs confirmed that Tebogo Potsane, Dillan Solomons, and midfielders, George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane did not travel with the team to Europe due to injuries.
