Downs & Royal AM Starting XIs Announced

Mamelodi Sundowns and Royal AM have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Four days ago, Sundowns confirmed their place in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League after hammering Al Ahly SC by 5-2.

The Tshwane giants need now switch their focus back onto the league and only need a few more points to seal the league title. The league-defending champions are yet to lose a game under the guidance of Rulani Mokwena, having won 16 and drawn since he took over.

Meanwhile, Thwihli Thwahla aim to be the first side to defeat Downs in the league since September 2022.

Royal are sitting seventh in the standings after going six games unbeaten since the return of John Maduka. They are also on a high after booking themselves a place in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

The KwaZulu Natal-based side is yet to defeat Sundowns since they got to the Premier Soccer League. They met on three occasions and Downs has won all of them, including completing a double last season.
