Former Zimbabwe and Bidvest Wits left-back Charles Yohane was hijacked and shot dead in South Africa, according to local reports.

It is claimed the Yohane, 48, was hijacked and kidnapped over the weekend and later killed by his hijackers, with his body being discovered on Monday in Soweto.

He last worked as youth coach for Wits but lost his job when the club was sold to TTM.

Yohane, who represented Zimbabwe 23 times, held the record for most appearances for Wits, having played for the club between 1997 and 2006.

He also ran out for African Wanders, AmaZulu and FC AK.

We, at iDiski Times, would like to express our condolences to Yohane’s family and fiends.
