Kaizer Jr – Chiefs Form Is A Massive Concern

Kaizer Chiefs’ run of two wins in their last 10 games is a massive concern, according to Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr.

Amakhosi were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Milford, and have seemingly fallen out of the race for the CAF Champions League spot under interim coach Cavin Johnson.

Their poor run of form has seen them drop to eighth place, nine points behind second-placed Stellenbosch, who have a game in hand.

“There’s a massive concern, we’re a football club, and our job is to win matches, put smiles on people’s faces, and achieve success,” he said at Luke Fleurs memorial on Thursday.

“Nobody is happy, we’re working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure we can elevate this football club as we spoke, the brand status, so we’re very much aware of what is happening.

“What we need to do and I just think we’re honouring this moment with the respect it deserves and we need to take this club when it needs to be, where it belongs and we know which direction to go.”

Chiefs return to action on 21 April when they travel to KZN to face relegation-threatened Richards Bay at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
