Our Fate May Be Decided On Friday – Middendorp

Cape Town Spurs head coach Ernst Middendorp says, if his side loses to Richards Bay this coming Friday the in the DStv Premiership their fate in the league will be sealed.

The comments come after Spurs’ 1-0 loss to Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba stadium on Saturday.

This was their fourth loss on the trot, which sees them remain at the foot of the table with 12 points in 24 matches, that’s eight points from the Rich Boys who claimed a big victory over Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, while they are 14 points from safety.

Middendorp wasn’t happy with his charges against Babina Noko, saying they are donating goals and stating that a loss this week would mean no coming back.

“Depends on next Friday evening,” Middendorp told the media in Polokwane.

“If we are not winning on Friday evening then we can close the book, that’s the reality.

“You have to win this game, you have to make three points, simple, easy. That’s what it is.

“How you do it, it doesn’t matter 1-0 or something like that.”

If Bay would beat CT Spurs on Friday, they would move 11 points ahead of the Urban Warriors with just five games left to play, but a victory for the home side would see them close their gap to five points.
