Ramovic – How I Revived Nurkovic’s Career

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic given some insight how he was able to revive Samir Nurkovic’s career after he’s scored 10 goals this season already.

The former Kaizer Chiefs forward joined the Rockets in September 2023 until May 2024 with an option to renew.

The striker came as a free agent after his contract dispute with Royal AM in October 2022 and being out of playing since his Chiefs departure in July 2022.

Nurkovic had also spent two weeks training at Raja Casablanca before the move to Mpumalanga, having not played competitively for 15 months.

The Serbian has now scored 10 goals in all competitions this season, eight being in the league and Ramovic told iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler that all he did when Nurkovic arrived was emphasize the principles of the team, which the player adhered to and it has brought results.

“I told him from the first day these are the rules of the team,” Ramovic told iDiski Times recently.

“Life is practice. You are practising who you are going to be. So if you get up late you are practising this, if you complain you are practising to be a complainer. If you are a whiner you are practising to be a whiner. If you are lazy about anything, this is what you are practising.

“We, here at this team, are practising to be champions and to get a winning mentality. Only the disciplined ones in life are free. If you are undisciplined, you are a slave to your moods and passions”.

“And Samir is a true professional player. He is excellent in everything he does. And excellence became a habit of his. That’s just who he is. Mentally strong, hard worker and an amazing attitude.”
