SA Goalkeeper In Europe For Assessment

Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper Aiden Dreyer is out of the country as he’s undergoing an assessment at Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby IF.

The 20-year-old Spurs talent has featured for South Africa U20 national team and was part of the squad in 2018 that travelled to Sweden to participate in the Gothia Cup.

iDiski Times understands he’s now been invited for an assessment at the Swedish top-flight side with the hope of landing a deal abroad.

The highly-rated goalkeeper who’s been largely used in their ABC Motsepe League side and trained with the first team, was linked with a move to SuperSport United last season and has widely been touted as a future senior national team goalkeeper.

And should be land a move in Scandinavia, Spurs have already bolstered their goalkeeping department with the addition of English goalkeeper Sam Ramsbottom ahead of their return to the DStv Premiership that kicks off this weekend.

The 27-year-old previously played for Edinburg City in Scotland and he will be competing with Lincoln Vyver and Zama Dlamini.
