Samkelo Zwane Reveals Ambitious 2024/25 Target

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Samkelo Zwane has revealed his ambitious target of clinching the Player Of The Season award.

The Chiefs youth academy player has been struggling to get game time since gaining promotion in the 2021/22 season under the guidance of Arthur Zwane.

With the new technical team at Amakhosi, led by Tunisian mentor Nasreddine Nabi, there are high hopes that Zwane might finally get to feature on a more regular basis. The 22-year-old is currently in Turkey with the first team for pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 term.

Speaking to Chiefs media, Zwane explained how he got to Amakhosi and how tough it was for him when he arrived. He also touched on his short-term goal of pushing for the player of the season award.

“When I got into the academy it was quite tough because I saw there was so much quality at the academy side so I knew I would have to work my socks off,” Zwane told KC media.

“I was very determined and thankful by the grace of God I made it to the first team.

“By the end of 2024, I will try push for Player of the Season. What drives me is that I always wanted to be successful as a young person to be a successful footballer and try to fulfill my purpose.”
