Seema Provides Update On Club Legend Absence

Polokwane City head coach Lehlohonolo Seema explained the absence of captain Puleng Marema, formerly known as Tlolane.

Marema has been with City for over a decade, he joined the club in 2012 from Winners Park and he is currently longest serving player in the ‘Rise and Shine’ side.

When City suffered relegation in the 2019/20 season Marema was with the side and three seasons later he returns as captain with over 200 appearances with the squad.

“He nursing the injury. He was wearing a moon boot he just took it out last week so he will start rehab,” Seema told the media.

“He is the captain of the team, we can see the soldiers that he made he is surely come back and that’s for sure. There will be some few guys that you’ll see coming in and going.”

City face Stellenbosch FC in their first home game of the 2023/24 season on Wednesday evening at 19:30.
