Spurs Sign Former Stellies Forward

Cape Town Spurs have announced the signing of former Stellenbosch Diski Challenge player Azola Jakalashe.

The East-London born forward has spent the past two seasons at Stellenbosch, after joining the Cape Winelands team from the Ubuntu Academy in 2022.

The 19-year-old is known for his pace and strength and has been terrorising defences for a number of years in youth football in the Western Cape. While known as a forward, Jakalashe is also capable of playing in the midfield.

Spurs, who picked up just their second win of the season last Saturday, are looking for a turn of fortune in 2024.

They face Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders Tuks this week in the round of 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
