Liverpool have announced the signing of Dutch right-back Jeremy Frimpong as the club’s first capture for the 2025/26 season.
Frimpong, 24, joins the Reds from German Bundesliga giants Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a reported £30m transfer and is seen as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold who has since joined Real Madrid.

“For me, it was like, ‘Whatever you guys do, just get this done’, [speaking to] my agents: ‘Just get this done’,” he told the club’s official website after signing a ‘long-term’ deal.
“Liverpool fans, I’m going to give my all, my energy, my work-rate and hopefully we can win together, we celebrate together, get everything together.
“I’m just excited to be here. Thank you guys for accepting me and I won’t let you guys down and I’ll give you the energy that you guys want.”
The Netherlands international who previously was on the books of Manchester City replaces Trent Alexander-Arnold at the Reds after his joined Real Madrid on a free transfer this week.
