Tottenham Hotspurs hammered 10-man of Manchester United in their first win away from home this season.
Tottenham had a dream start at Old Trafford after taking the lead inside three minutes – Micky Van De Van played a through-ball to Brennan Johnson who made no mistake from a close range.
Spurs didnt take the foot off the paddle, and after 11 minutes played James Maddison took a shot from a close range but Andre Onana was equal to the task.
After 26 minutes of football, Man United looked more settled, defender Lisandro Martinez took a shot from more than 30 yards but it was saved by Guglielmo Vicario and kept Spurs in the lead.
Three minutes before half-time break, Bruno Fernandes was shown a red card after reckless challenge on James Maddison and Spurs went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Two minutes into the second half, Dominic Solanke played a through-ball to Johnson who set up Dejan Kulesevski to make 2-0.Â
The Red Devils looked down and out, as Spurs controlled the tempo of the match and continued to create half chances but Onana kept the dignity of United, as he denied Timo Werner the third goal of the match in the 56th minute.
United looked revived for at least five minutes, when Alejandro Garnacho troubled Pedro Porro on the right side and ended up getting a yellow card with 17 minutes left to play.
However, amid United’s best phase Spurs put the game to bed in the 78th minute, when Dominic Solanke converted from close range after United failed to defend a corner.Â
