13 Players Ruled Out Of PSL Season Finale

The 2023/24 DStv Premiership finale will have plenty of subplots this weekend and 13 players are suspended for what promises to be an exciting affair.

From the CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup, MTN8 spot and the relegation playoffs, the 90 minutes where all 16 teams will be in action, will determine plenty.

Stellenbosch, currently in second place has already sealed their first-ever qualification for CAF inter-club football but Orlando Pirates could steal second place and the Champions League spot if they better Steve Barker’s side’s result on Saturday.

Nkosintathi Sibisi will be unavailable for selection for the Buccaneers who have already lost Tapelo Xoki for the rest of the season through injury.

Cape Town City will be without Aprocious Petrus, and Marc van Heerden, Cape Town Spurs, who are already relegated will be without Gadiel Kamagi and Liam Bern.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ midfield duo Sphelele Mkhulise and Marcelo Allende are also suspended but will be eligible again for the Nedbank Cup final against Pirates.

Richards Bay and Royal AM are fighting for final-day survival and will be without Sibusiso Mthethwa and Ayanda Jiyane respectively.

Kaizer Chiefs, who need a win to confirm their 2024 MTN8 quarter-final against Mamelodi Sundowns are without Dove Edmilson, while TS Galaxy who are looking to secure fourth place and a potential Confederation Cup spot are without three players.
