Amajimbos Starting XI vs Bolivia Announced

South Africa have announced their starting line-up for this afternoon’s 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup opener against Bolivia at the Aspire Zone Complex in AL Rayyan in the capital Doha.

Vela Khumalo’s charges have been pitted in Group A alongside Italy and hosts Qatar as well.

This will be South Africa’s second appearance at the U17 World Cup since last featuring at the global tournament in Chile in 2015.

Khumalo says his troops have been itching to get on the field of play as they look to get the tournament off to a winning start.

“We brought ourselves here, and we want to see ourselves doing more of the talking on the field, doing it for the country and doing it for ourselves and the players,” he told safa.net.

“It is long overdue, we have been waiting for this moment, we are here and we want to do our best,” said Khumalo after their final training session on Sunday.”

Here’s how they line up:

Amajimbos Starting XI: Radebe, Pama, Marthinus, Hendricks, Mothapo, Mareletse (C), Mlangeni, Stevens, Sekgoto, Bohloko, Witbooi

Subs: Noqobo, Els, Booysen, Morake, Taylor, Henson, Dhlamini, Mokhobo
