Former Botswana head coach Adel Amrouche has been appointed the new technical director of the Yemen Football Federation on a one-year deal.
The Algerian who’s been linked with moves to the DStv Premiership for several years now is widely experienced on the African continent with impressive stints with the Burundi and Kenya national teams.
At club level, he’s managed both of Algeria’s biggest clubs MC Alger and USM Alger while also enjoying success in the Linafoot with DC Moteme Pembe.
The UEFA Pro License instructor secured his latest deal this week after taking his latest group of UEFA License ‘interns’ in Saudi Arabia, which is his first job since leaving the Zebras last year.
Amerouche will now look to guide Yemen in preparation for the upcoming 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers where they are in Group B alongside Palestine, the Philippines and Mongolia.
