Banyana Banyana striker Thembi Kgatlana has been nominated for the Player of the Season accolade after aiding her team to the 2025 Liga MX Femenil championship.
Kgatlana scored eight goals in 17 matches on her way to helping her side Tigres UANL clinch the league title for a record seventh time, the most by any team in the league.
Kgatlana faces competition from 13 other players including teammates and fellow forwards Jennifer Hermoso and Diana Ordonez.
The nomination comes on the back of the 29-year-old helping her national team qualify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), as well as her standout performances for her club
