Big Three Points for Chiefs In 5 Goal Thriller

It was back-to-back wins for Kaizer Chiefs, as they won a five-goal thriller against AmaZulu FC, while Mamelodi Sundowns hammered Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Chiefs grabbed all three points against AmaZulu in a 3-2 victory at Dobsonville Stadium. Amakhosi led 2-0 in the first half through Matala Mkhubo and Vicky Mkhwana. AmaZulu fought back to level matters in the second half to make it 2-2. But Neo Bohloko had other ideas as he scored the winner deep in the second to claim all three points.

Sundowns closed the gap on log leaders Stellenbosch after humbling Arrows 3-0 at Lucas Moripe Stadium. Ntokozo Siquba scored a brace, and Tshiamo Masisi made 3-0.

SuperSport United extended their unbeaten run to four matches after beating Richards Bay by 5-3. Keenan Bezuidenhout opened the scoring and took his tally to five goals this season. Both Thabang Makubo and Thabang Mahlangu sealed the three points with each brace. Sithembiso Makhaye and Thandolwethu Dube scored the two goals for the Natal Richboyz.

In Saturday’s final game, Cape Town City picked up a 2-1 win over Magesi on the road. Cee-Jay Bezuidenhout was on the scoresheet and took his goal tally to nine this season. Jody Ah Shene scored the second one to take his tally to five goals.

Stellies remain top of the table, on goal difference, and will face Orlando Pirates tomorrow morning at Malta Park.

Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 AmaZulu FC
Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Lamontville Golden Arrows
SuperSport United 5-3 Richards Bay
