After spending the last six months on loan at Motsepe Foundation Championship side NB La Masia, Cape Town Spurs defender Logan Brown’s future remains uncertain.
The 23-year-old aided the Urban Warriors gain promotion to the DStv Premiership via the promotional playoffs last season.
The tall centre-back started the season on a good note and made seven appearances under the leadership of Shaun Bartlett, but things got tough when technical team changes were made by the Western Cape side as he struggled to get game-time under the short spell of Sean Connor and Ernst Middendorp.
Brown joined La Masia in January on a short-term loan deal, which will expire at the end of this current season.
With La Masia having been relegated to the ABC Motsepe League, it remains unclear whether Spurs will keep him or will let him go. Sekhukhune United and the University Of Pretoria are said to be keeping close tabs on Brown’s situation and could look to rope him into their ranks ahead of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership campaign.
Babina Noko has long admired the tall centre back since his days at Highlands Park. A source also revealed that AmaTuks are keeping an eye on the situation as well.
It remains to be seen what Spurs will decide at the end of the season as he is still under contract till June 2025.
