A weekend full of goals saw Casric Stars maintaining their first place, meanwhile Cape Town Spurs lost their first league encounter away from home.
Stars kicked off the match day five on high note as they defeated Orbit College FC by 2-0, Decide Chauke scored a double.
Tootle Lepile and Keabetswe Rakosa were fired up in Eastern Cape as Upington City sink Highbury FC. Lepile opened the scoring before Lulama Maqoka equalised for the Eastern Cape based side. Rakosa sealed the winner Bafana Ba Gucci with a brace to make it 3-1.
Friday was concluded by a late winner from Athini Jodwana handing Durban City all three points at the expense of Cape Town Spurs. Simo Dladla’s City moved to third place in the league table while Spurs dropped outside top eight.
Goals galore on Saturday afternoon, Black Leopards secured their second successive win beating Pretoria Callies by 2-0. Bethuel Muzeu and Mwape Musonda were on the scoresheet for Lidoda Duvha.
Struggles continue for newcomers Kruger United after suffering a 3-1 defeat at home at the hands of Milford FC. Olwethu Cele, Bulelani Sigomoshe and Siphosethu Ndlabi netted the three goals for Manila Qhogi’s side. Onyedikachi Ononogbu scored the solitary goal for United.
It is now five straight matches without a win for Venda Football Club as Hungry Lions came from a goal down to beat them 3-1. Tshovelo Mathebula opened the scoring for VFC. With less than 15 minutes remaining, Hungry Lions scored three quick goals courtesy of Joseph Ndlovu, Sihle Ntshuntshe and Ronaldo Van Nell.
Lerumo United suffered their fourth match in five matches after JDR Stars humiliated them by 3-0 infant of their supporters.
AmaTuks shared the spoils with Baroka at Tuks Stadium. Bakgakga scored first before Manelisi Sithole equalised to make it 1-1.
