Casric Stars secured a triumphant 4-0 victory against league leaders Kruger United, narrowing the gap at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings.
Following a two-match winless streak, Casric Stars refocused their efforts and entered the match with determination, while Kruger United sought to avoid defeat or potentially claim victory.

Mfundo Thikazi, a former Royal AM midfielder, scored the opening goal in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a brilliant pass from Leletu Skelem.
Skelem doubled the lead just five minutes later, scoring after Lifa Makua executed a superb free kick, resulting in a 2-0 scoreline.
Kruger United attempted a comeback with Nkosinathi Thwala’s long-range shot hitting the woodwork, but Casric Stars’ Mlungisi Zwane further solidified the lead with the third goal just before halftime.
The substantial deficit proved insurmountable for Kruger United in the second half. Stars made it 4-0 in the 91st minute after a lovely goal from Simon Moukete.
The four goals were sufficient for Casric Stars to secure maximum points. Despite the loss, Kruger United retained the top spot with a two-point lead.
Black Leopards continued to struggle at the bottom after a goalless draw against Highbury FC in Eastern Cape.
Lidoda Duvha remain four points away from safety with 17 points in 21 matches, while Amajuba moved to eighth place.
