Chiefs Give Dortley Injury Update

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that defender Rushwin Dortley remains sidelined with injury ahead of their tricky Betway Premiership encounter against TS Galaxy this coming weekend.

Dortley, 22, has been inactive for Amakhosi since the beginning of March and missed their clashes against Magesi FC, Stellenbosch FC, Cape Town City, Richards Bay and most recently Golden Arrows.

Since the Bafana Bafana international was relegated to the sidelines due to an injury, Nasreddine Nabi’s charges have won just one match which was the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash over Stellies.

On Monday, the Naturena-based outfit confirmed that Dortley was indeed still sidelined after undergoing a successful surgery though the timeline for his return remains uncertain.

“Defender, Rushwin Dortley remains on the injury list as he recovers from surgery, and the fitness of the rest of the squad will be assessed during the week’s preparation for the clash,” the club confirmed via its official website.

Chiefs host the Rockets at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, 5 April.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00.
