Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley Du Preez has been called up the Bafana Bafana squad to replace Lyle Foster.
Du Preez, 25, was another late call-up after Siyanda Xulu already replaced Thibang Phete.
However, unlike Xulu, Du Preez is so far uncapped for the national team but his call-up comes after the started the 2022/23 campaign with two goals and one assist in six appearances for Kaizer Chiefs.
The speedy striker completed a transfer from Stellenbosch FC to Kaizer Chiefs this transfer window, after a stellar campaign in 2021/22.
On Tuesday, Bafana confirmed Du Preez’s call-up via their social channels.
Du Preez is the seventh uncapped player in the squad after Melusi Buthelezi, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Luke Le Roux, Mihlali Mayambela, Khanyisa Mayo and Pule Mmodi.
