Chiefs To Tie Down Bvuma

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to extend the contract of Bruce Bvuma after his stellar performances in the last few DStv Premiership games before the break.

Bvuma came through Chiefs development and was promoted in the 2016/17 season, making his debut in a 3-2 loss to Cape Town City in March 2017.

Since then, he has made just over 40 appearances for Amakhosi, keeping 14 clean sheets in his entire Amakhosi career, including his probably most famous one in a 1-0 win at Wydad Athletic Club in the CAF Champions League semi-final frist leg in 2021.

The Bafana Bafana international returned to Chiefs starting line-up against Moroka Swallows in November after 15 months without playing an official match.

Since then, the 28-year-old kept three clean sheets in four matches he played towards the AFCON break.

iDiski Times understands that Chiefs have tabled a new two-year deal for the shot stopper, as they look to tie him down to avoid losing him on a free transfer, as he is in the last six months of his current contract.

A new contract that has been tabled is until June 2026.
