Chippa United are poised to sign talented FN Rangers winger Giovanni Philander.
Philander left people with their hands on their heads in the ABC Motsepe League promotional playoffs when he was playing for Western Cape side FN Rangers this month.
Philander was in the books of the Mamelodi Sundowns reserve team in 2017 before joining Ajax Cape Town known as Cape Town Spurs in 2019.
But it appears his breakout at the elite level is dawning for the dribbling wizard after leading Rangers to the promotional playoffs for the first time in the club’s history.
iDiski Times understands that Chippa is edging closer to signing the 24-year-old. The Eastern Cape-based side is in competition with SuperSport United for his signature. But Chilli Boyz are the favourites to land the dribbling wizard.
He is expected to be in Gqeberha next week to start pre-season with the Chilli Boyz.
