CT City Release Midfielder

Cape Town City have reached an agreement with midfielder Luyolo Slatsha for a mutual termination of his contract.

iDiski Times has been reliably informed that the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit has gone separate ways with Slatsha which will allow him to be a free agent and join the club of his choice ahead of the January transfer window.

Slatsha came through City reserve side ranks and was announced in March 2024 to have signed a four-year contract with the senior side. The 23-year-old had a glimpse of a good career under Eric Tinkler as he played 20 games in the 2023/24 season.

After suffering a long-term injury, things were no longer the same as he was unable to help the Citizens avoid relegation to the MFC at the beginning of the season via the promotion playoffs and also did not feature since City got relegated to first tier football.

Things became more difficult for him with Gabriel Amato, Dhakier Lee and Jospin Nshimirimana playing ahead of him in the midfield and it now seems as though the agreement to terminate his contract is a win-win situation for both parties.
