Highly-rated Portuguese coach Pedro Soares Gonçalves has been tipped to take over the vacant head coaching role at Kaizer Chiefs, according to Cabine Desportiva out in Portugal.
Gonçalves, 49, was recently sacked as the Angolan national football team coach, bringing to a close an eight-year largely successful reign with the Palancas Negras.

After leaving the Angola national team, Gonçalves is said to have received approaches from Egyptian giants Al Ahly after they fired former Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, as well as Amakhosi who are on the verge of going separate ways with coach Nasreddine Nabi.
His sacking at the helm of the Angolan national squad comes in the wake of their failure to reach the African Nations Championship (CHAN) quarterfinals as expected.
He however leaves with an impressive CV after guiding Angola to back-to-back COSAFA Cup triumphs with the last one being against Bafana Bafana who they hammered 3-0 in the final.
