Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies thumped already relegated Durban Ladies 7-0, while TS Galaxy Queens thrashed First Touch Ladies 4-0 and MaMkhize’s Royal AM Ladies got relegated from the Hollywoodbets Super League this past weekend.
Refilwe Tholakele scored a first half brace, with Lelona Daweti contributing a late brace while Melinda Kgadiete, Nthabiseng Majiya and Noxolo Cesane each netting a goal each to see the defending champions stay at the top of the log with 65 points in 25 games while Durban Ladies remained rooted to the foot of the table with nine points and have two games left to play.

Galaxy Queens made light work of First Touch at Kabokweni Stadium to maintain second spot with 60 points in 26 games. Leandra Smeda netted a brace to take her goal tally to 21 goals while Nomvula Kgoale and Nicole Michael contributed a goal each against the Limpopo side.
Meanwhile, the match between Royal AM and University of Pretoria at the Harry Gwala Stadium was cancelled due to lack of medical support at the match venue. The results of other matches also confirmed AM’s relegation from the league.
They are currently second from bottom with just 13 points in 27 matches, 10 points from the side ahead of them who have played 28 games. This also means there are two sides from the province that got axed from South Africa’s top women’s league in one season, leaving Ezemvelo as the only representative so far.
