Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Jody February has been excluded from the Club World Cup squad leaving for the United States tomorrow due to an injury and is set to undergo an operation.
Sundowns recently triggered the option in February’s contract which extends his stay at the club until June 2026 after 29-year-old made seven appearances this past season and kept three clean sheets.
Sundowns released their 26-man squad that will be participating in the FIFA Club World Cup in two weeks’ time and February was the notable absentee in the team.

Information gathered by this publication has further stated that the former Cape Town Spurs goalkeeper will go through an operation after he tore his meniscus.
He is expected to only return to the side at the beginning of the 2025/26 season.
