Carlos Queiroz and Roger De Sa picked up their first win since taking over at Oman in dramatic fashion on Tuesday.
Currently playing in the CAFA Nations Cup, Oman took on Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday, looking to get a better result after drawing 1-1 with Uzbekistan in their opening group game.
When their opponents took a first-half lead, Oman were forced to fight for the result, and left it to beyond the 90 minutes, as they dramatically scored twice in referee’s optional time, in the 91st and 95th minute, with Issam Al Sabhi grabbing both vital goals.
Oman’s next encounter is on Friday when they face Turkmenistan and a draw would send them through to the semi-finals.
De Sa joined Queiroz in July, and this is now the sixth national team the former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town coach has been a part of.
