Former Sundowns Player Reaches Milestone Abroad

Auckland City midfielder Emiliano Tade scored his 150th goal this morning in a 5-1 thrashing over Bay Olympic.

Tade returned home at the beginning of 2020 after two seasons in South Africa, which he spent with AmaZulu FC and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 35-year-old created a name for himself in the colors of Auckland City before he first left in 2015. When he made his return it was clear that he is there to finish what he’s started, returning to the club for the third time.

New Zealand’s Northern League has recently started and two games have been played, with the former Usuthu star scoring in both games.

The Navy Blues’ living legend netted his 150th goal this morning when they hammered Bay Olympic at the Kiwitea Street. He is also the club’s most-capped player with 227 appearances.

It has been proven that whenever he scores the team is likely to win the game as he found the back of the net in 109 games for City and the club has won 105, losing just four times.

They will be aiming to clinch the Northern League for the third successive season after winning it in 2021 and 2022.
