TS Galaxy Queens have all but ended the University of Western Cape (UWC)’s hopes of challenging Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies for the 2023 Hollywoodbets Super League title.
Lesego Nkoane and Nicole Michael were on the score sheet as the Rockets defeated the Blues 2-0 at the S0olomon Mahlangu Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The result means the rookies from Mpumalanga remain in third position with 60 points in 28 matches while UWC remains top of the log with 72 points with only one game left to play.
However, they are six points from recently crowned African champions Sundowns Ladies who now have four games in hand against UWC.
Jerry Tshabalala’s side could secure their third successive domestic league title with three wins and a draw from their remaining five matches as UWC can only reach 75 points if they win their last match of the campaign.
