Milford FC saw their Nedbank Cup fairytale journey come to an end after going down 4-3 on penalties to TS Galaxy in the semifinal to reach the final at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Tshepo Kakora came close to breaking the deadlock just eight minutes but his glancing header from Siphesihle Maduna’s set-piece sailed inches wide.

Galaxy were left stunned as Milford became the first team to score against them in this season’s Ke Yona Cup as Siphosethu Ndlabi’s fancy back heel made it 1-0 in the 11th minute.
Substitute Mlungisi Mbunjana had a half a chance to bring his side level in the 49th minute but saw his header over the crossbar.
The Rockets then levelled matters via Victor Letsoalo in the 57th minute with a superb header to make it 1-1.
Kakora had a glorious chance to seal the game with six minutes left on the clock but Milford goalkeeper Siphamandla Hleza made a good near-post save.
Tonny Mbunga could have been the match-winner in the 90th minute after finding himself in a good position but Ira Tape was up to the task forcing extra-time instead.
The two sides could not be separated in regulation time as well as extra-time as the tie decider went down to penalty kicks.
In the spot kicks, the Rockets prevailed 4-3 to set up the final with fellow Betway Premiership outfit Durban City.
