Marumo Gallants are set to sign former Stellenbosch FC and Baroka FC midfielder Nhlanhla Mgaga.
Mgaga spent two years with the Cape Winelands side after joining them from Bakgaga in July 2022. The 2023/24 campaign saw him win the Carling Knockout Cup and also aided the club to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
The DStv Premiership outfit returned to the top-flight of South African football after purchasing of Moroka Swallows’ status. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa got relegated two seasons ago after finishing rock bottom of the league table.
Gallants are busy structuring their technical team for the upcoming season and have already appointed Dylan Kerr as their head coach.
This publication understands that Gallants is edging closer in completing the signing of Mgaga who previously worked with the English mentor at Baroka in Lebowakgomo.
The 28-year-old is now a free agent after leaving Stellenbosch last month following the expiration of his contract.
