With sponsor HONOR at their side, Amajita arrived today in Chile ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup, brimming with momentum and belief, fresh from being crowned U20 Africa Cup of Nations champions in May.
South Africa’s youngsters kick off their Group E campaign against France on 27 September, before facing New Caledonia and the USA.
They’ll also travel in style, thanks to main sponsor HONOR. Every player and staff member has been equipped with HONOR Choice Earbuds Clips and branded suitcases to complement the HONOR 400 Lite devices they received earlier this year — all designed to boost comfort, connectivity and focus on the road to Chile.
“Amajita have shown the heart of South African football,” said Fred Zhou, CEO of HONOR South Africa.
“Winning the U20 AFCON, overcoming big challenges and now stepping on the world stage in Chile is exactly what the nation is ready to enjoy.
“HONOR is proud to be by their side as always, to enable the mobility and performance that keeps them connected as a collective.
“We’re also excited to capture those nerve-wrecking and spirit-fuelled moments, on and off that intense global stage.”
HONOR has also been busy off the pitch. A national campaign around its HONOR 400 and 400 Pro devices saw 40 lucky winners enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to watch Bafana Bafana in Bloemfontein, including a training session with Hugo Broos’ team and suite hospitality for the Nigeria match.
In September and October, HONOR customers stand a chance to win a similar experience in Morocco for one of Bafana Bafana’s group-stage games in December.
