SuperSport have announced the sad passing of legendary sports commentator, presenter and anchor Phumlani Msibi after a short illness. He was 57.
Msibi was born in Durban and started out as a ring announcer at SuperSport in the late 1990s before becoming the first to commentate in isiZulu and English on the sports broadcaster.
His passing was announced by SuperSport on Friday night, 20 June 2025.
