Gabadinho Mhango’s stunning goal for Malawi at the African Cup of Nations has been nominated for the CAF Goal of the Year award.
For a first time in history CAF will hand out the Goal of the Year trophy, with 10 strikes making the inaugural shortlist.
Fans can vote for their favourite strike (http://cafawards2022goty.com/) and their voting will carry 70% weight on the final decision of the winning goal, CAF confirmed.
Mhango’s stunner will have beat nine other top strikes, which were selected by CAF.
Another notable goal is Zouhair El Moutaraji’s strike against Al Ahly in this year’s CAF Champions League final and you can see all nominees below:
