Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Nkosingiphile ‘Mshini’ Ngcobo says “social media can kill” but he tries to stay off most platforms in order to cope with the pressure at Naturena.
Mshini, a development product of the club, revealed to iDiski Times in edition 137 of the newspaper, that he has been fortunate to have been exposed to the big crowds earlier in his career in the junior ranks.
He also adds that he knows Amakhosi fans always want results and spending little time on social media and being confident in himself to deliver are some of the things that help him deal with the pressure of playing for a demanding club.
“I feel that somehow, if you also invite pressure that’s where you’re going to feel it,” Mshini told iDiski Times.
“So it’s not a problem but just stay away from social media and even if you are there just avoid being in too deep because it can really kill you. But I’m not in it that deep, so I don’t feel the pressure.
“As a player, you need to believe in yourself first and then playing for a team like Kaizer Chiefs obviously the fans, they need results, they want results.
“Like I said, we are working hard and things are going very well. We’re going to get where we want to. I think we are doing very well and we want to get maximum points.”
